WWE files Drew McIntyre related trademark | Wrestling News

WWE has filed a trademark for the nickname of Drew McIntyre.

WWE will call him the “Scottish Warrior” from time to time. On September 24th, WWE filed to trademark this term. Here is the description for the filing under the category of entertainment services:

“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”

At Elimination Chamber, McIntyre retained the WWE Championship against AJ Styles, Sheamus, Jeff Hardy, Kofi Kingston, and Randy Orton. However, after the match, he was attacked by Bobby Lashley before being pinned by The Miz, who cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to win the WWE Title.

McIntyre didn’t appear on last week’s episode of Raw but will be doing so this Monday night to address the attack by Lashley.
