Vince McMahon WWE Hall Of Fame Plans Not A Talking Point Within The Company

Vince McMahon was forced to retire this year after a massive hush money scandal broke. Netflix is still carrying on with their documentary on Mr. McMahon, and the company is now under the control of Stephanie McMahon, Nick Khan, and Triple H. That being said, there is a rumor that Vince McMahon might get his flowers soon enough.

VKM’s name came up in a recent report that stated he is in line for a 2023 WWE Hall of Fame induction. The report also said that Stephanie McMahon has plans for her father to finally get his flowers at WrestleMania 39 in SoFi Stadium.

Ringside News asked around about this, and we were told that, “there have been no plans discussed with the writers or producers about the Hall of Fame.” That being said, these plans are not being discussed backstage in the company, because The Sun’s report was news to them.

We reached out to another source who is typically one of the first to hear about WWE Hall of Fame plans. We were told that, “I have not heard that at all and typically HOF decisions aren’t made at the highest levels until at least November”

Vince McMahon historically wanted to keep his name out of the WWE Hall of Fame. He didn’t want Superstars even thanking him during their speech. In fact, when Bret Hart thanked Vince during the Hart Foundation speech, that speech’s writer famously quit in the Gorilla Position instead of getting yelled at by Mr. McMahon.

It’s not impossible that Vince McMahon will get some sort of honor by WWE in the future, but we have heard about no plans for next year’s WrestleMania. That being said, it’s still far too early for the company to be laying those plans yet.

What’s your take on Vince McMahon getting into the WWE Hall of Fame? Sound off in the comments!
