Vince McMahon allegedly banned a former WWE star from the Hall Of Fame | Wrestling News

Former WWE star Ahmed Johnson did an interview with Chris Featherstone of SportsKeeda to talk about a wide range of topics.

Johnson, real name Anthony Norris, worked for WWE from 1995 to 1998. When he first joined the promotion, WWE felt he had a lot of upside and was pushed as an upper card talent including having a run as Intercontinental Champion. After departing from WWE, he worked for WCW from 1999-2000 and retired from the pro wrestling business in 2003.

During the interview, he was asked why he wasn’t in the WWE Hall of Fame. This is where he alleged the reason for it was due to him having a falling out with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon when he departed from WWE.

“Because me and Vince had a falling out…right when I left…I believe around [19] 98. We had a falling out, and he told me then that I wouldn’t be in the Hall of Fame because of our falling out. He actually told me that.”

Johnson was asked whether the falling out was due to differences with his contract, which it was. “It was that and other little things, but yeah, it was a lot of contractual differences.”

He mentioned that he would pick Al Snow to induct him as he enjoyed working with him. You can watch the entire interview by clicking on the player below (quotes can be found at the 7:58 mark):
