Stipulation added to match scheduled for Wednesday’s WWE NXT | Wrestling News

WWE has announced two new things for Wednesday’s episode of NXT.

First up, NXT General Manager William Regal announced today that the already announced between NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar and Karrion Kross is now a No DQ Non-Title Match. The stipulation of if Escobar doesn’t show, he’ll be stripped of his title and suspended, still stands.

Regal sent out the following:

“In consideration of the difference in each competitors “interest” in their match I’ve decided to raise the stakes. @WWEKarrionKross vs @EscobarWWE will now be a #NoDQMatch & if our Cruiserweight Champion does not participate, he will be stripped of his title & suspended.”

Also announced today was a segment. Adam Cole will explain his recent actions against NXT Champion Finn Balor and Kyle O’Reilly.

Of course, Cole had attacked Balor after he had successfully retained the NXT Title over Pete Dunne last Sunday at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day. That same night, Cole also hit a superkick to O’Reilly.

This past week on NXT, WWE did an injury angle, which saw Cole hit a brainbuster to O’Reilly on the base of the steel steps. O’Reilly was put on a stretcher and rolled to the backstage arena, which caused concern after a fan falsely stated he had a seizure. That wasn’t the case though and O’Reilly is fine.
