One name that wasn’t mentioned in the announcement was second generation wrestler Jennifer Michell Cantu Iglesias. Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that she has signed. Super Luchas also reported the news.
She took part in tryouts last December at the WWE Performance Center. At the time, WWE did acknowledge that she was there and billed her as a champion powerlifter from Mexico.
She is the daughter of Mexican wrestler Bronco (Ulises Cantu Gutierrez), who was the first wrestler to use the Bronco name in Mexico and competed for CMLL. He also wrestled as Spiderman and Gigolo.
Her background includes being a high-level Olympic weightlifter and weightlifter in both the world championships and Pan-American games. She was training for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, but it got nixed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Iglesias began training in 2019 at the famous Arena Monterrey and working with Mexican wrestling legend and CMLL ring announcer Tony Salazar.
Another talent that wasn’t included in the announcement of the class was top Japanese star Sareee.
