Ric Flair Visits Steve Mongo McMichael In Hospital

Steve McMichael has seen his share of struggles on the gridiron and inside the squared circle. Real life has been his latest challenge. The College Football Hall of Fame member and former WCW wrestler is suffering with debilitating ALS.

Ric Flair and an unidentified pal who appears to be Haku (or Meng for WCW fans) visited the ailing former member of the Four Horsemen. Flair posted a photo of the three as McMichael made a lighthearted funny face from his bed.

We Have Seen It All, Lived It All, And Have Done It All, But We Aren’t Done Yet! Mongo, You Are THE MAN!!! Happy Birthday!!

October 17 marked McMichael’s 64th birthday. The visit from The Nature Boy came at a time when Flair is trying to rehabilitate his public image after a disastrous episode of Dark Side of the Ring about the ‘plane ride from hell‘ threatened to ruin his legendary aura.

McMichael made sporadic appearance in the WWF in the early 90s before joining WCW. From 1996 to 1997, the former Chicago Bear was a member of the legendary Four Horsemen stable.

After the Dark Side episode aired, Flair and Tommy Dreamer faced severe public backlash over their alleged behavior on the WWF-charted flight. Flair was pulled from several endorsement deals in the aftermath of the incident.

Will Ric Flair ever be able to restore his image in your eyes? Share your feelings in the comments!
