Paul Wight Says AEW Locker Room Is Less Cutthroat Than WWE

‘Big Show’ Paul Wight is a veteran in the world of professional wrestling, having spent more than two decades in WWE. However, he parted ways with the company last month after AEW revealed Paul Wight signed with the company.

Now that he is in AEW, Paul Wight is well aware of the differences between his current company and WWE. During the media call after the conclusion of AEW Revolution, Paul Wight discussed how the AEW locker room is different from the WWE locker room.

Paul Wight noted that AEW’s locker room isn’t as cutthroat as WWE and that the atmosphere is very different as it is full of positive energy.

“The atmosphere is completely different. I think anytime you start over new somewhere, it’s automatically going to be refreshing, but even more so here. The support – the one thing that is different here that I really enjoy, is the support and the fight that the talent has over here for respect, recognition and the drive. That’s the heart of professional wrestling and when you’re doing entertainment. You want a locker room that – it’s not guys stepping on each other’s toes, cutting each other’s throat to get a position. You want a team where everybody is trying to get over and everybody’s trying to put the best possible product for the fans. And that kind of environment I thrive on and I love this environment. I haven’t seen a locker room this kind of positive energy in a long, long, long time.”

Wight also added that he heard a lot of positive things about the AEW locker room from Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes, Billy Gunn and more. We will have to see whether Paul Wight will be a good fit in AEW.
