Miro Has Not Asked For His AEW Release

WWE became a fresh name in the market once again, ever since the retirement of Vince McMahon. The company is more aggressive than ever, and AEW President Tony Khan even blames them for robbing AEW of its viewership by strategically booking their own shows.

The company reportedly reached out to former WWE stars who were released and later joined AEW. Malakai Black got a conditional release from AEW, though it’s unclear whether he’s headed back to WWE. According to one report, he’s expressed his desire to come back to at least one WWE superstar.

Miro was also contacted by WWE. It was previously reported that he isn’t interested in getting back with the company. Fightful reports that he hasn’t asked for an AEW release like Malakai Black or Buddy Matthews.

Miro was also a name mentioned online as being contacted by WWE. We haven’t heard whether he has been or not as of now, but we were told that he hadn’t asked for his release.

The former WWE superstar doesn’t seem to be leaving the company any time soon either. Back in late 2021, he signed a massive contract extension with the company, which ensured he would stick around until early 2026.

Miro hasn’t been used a ton by AEW since joining the company. While he did have a run as a TNT Champion, he hasn’t enjoyed a lot of screen time from the company in a while. Now that he’s been with the company for a long time, Miro might get back in action pretty soon.
