Kacy Catanzaro deactivates her Twitter account after receiving COVID-19 criticism | Wrestling News

WWE NXT wrestler Kacy Catanzaro received criticism from fans on Twitter after a video was shared on Instagram last week where she wasn’t wearing a mask at a restaurant.

She took to Twitter to post a video where she addressed the controversy. The NXT star noted that while she appreciated the concern, she pointed out how in Florida, you don’t have to wear a mask while seated at a restaurant to eat and drink.

However, when entering and leaving a restaurant, you have to wear a mask. She did acknowledge why fans were upset when seeing the clip.

“I understand your concern and I want you to know that I do care about the safety of others around me and myself and I follow all of the protocols. Luckily for me with work, we get tested at least once a week, if not twice sometimes. I carry my hand sanitizer with me everywhere. Everywhere that we have to, I wear my mask. I’m sorry that this moment made people think otherwise, but I just want you all to know that I hear you and I appreciate the concern. I am looking out for the safety of others around me as well as trying to take care of myself the best I can, and I wish the best for everybody else.”

She has since deactivated her Twitter account. Therefore, the video is no longer available.

Catanzaro was last seen in action on NXT TV when she teamed up with Kayden Carter in the semifinals of the Dusty Rhodes Women’s Tag Team Classic and failed to make it to the finals of the tournament.
