Jeff Hardy Wants To Turn Heel In WWE

Jeff Hardy has transformed a lot over his nineteen years as a professional wrestler. From problems with substance abuse to reaching the apex of the sport as a heavyweight champion in WWE, Hardy has endured it all and remains one of the top stars in the game.

Fans have recently been critical of the booking decisions within WWE regarding Hardy. Hardy had appeared in a comedy segment involving several lower-card wrestlers chasing the 24/7 title.

In a recent appearance on Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Hardy revealed his next creative ambition for his WWE run. The Charismatic Enigma discussed a potential heel turn with Satin.

“Yea, it does, but when I did the anti-Christ thing, it’s really hard to make people hate me.  I think it would have to be done in a different way, but it would be something that I’ve never really dove into before.”

Hardy made a name for himself as a singles competitor in TNA and WWE after a long and successful run with his brother Matt as The Hardy Boyz. An incident where Hardy showed up intoxicated and in no shape to wrestle Sting during a TNA pay-per-view nearly made him toxic within the industry.

Hardy has fought back. He spoke to Satin about the evolution of his career. Jeff said that while his body isn’t capable of what it used to be, he’s taken on a role as a veteran leader who is there to help out younger talent.

“It is weird because I know I’m not as fast as I used to be, especially since I broke my leg back in 2015.  I ended up having knee surgery.  I just can’t jump like I used to.  Things are a lot slower, but it’s cool, especially when I still see paint on my action figure.  That never gets old.  That makes all that time painting my face worth it.  Then when I see the action figure, I remember that image I had in my mind that day before I brought it to life.   I’m just doing my job.  It’s my time to give back, but I think there’s something that I have to figure out as well and is kind of needed because I don’t know how much longer I’m going to be wrestling, almost like a darker side of Jeff Hardy I think, needs to come out.  I haven’t figured it out yet, but I’ve had these crazy ideas.  I wrote down a few of them.  It’s my time to focus more on the character stuff instead of the high flying moves, the TLC matches, and all of that stuff.  I think there’s something that’s waiting to be unleashed within me.”

Jeff Hardy is a decorated wrestling champion with an intriguing life story. Fans would be in for a treat if Hardy were to turn heel in WWE for one last big run. The interview with Satin premiers on YouTube today.
