Injury Update: Asuka reportedly out of action with a concussion – Diva Dirt

RAW Women’s Champion Asuka hasn’t been seen on WWE television for the last couple of weeks due to injury. The latest reports from The Wrestling Observer are confirming the rumors and are saying that she has a concussion.

The Empress of Tomorrow suffered the injury during her match against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on the February 22 edition of RAW. During the match, Baszler caught the champ with an accidental kick to the face that caused her to lose a tooth as well.

Since Asuka’s absence from RAW, WWE is attempting to build towards WrestleMania for the red brand’s title. Several names such as Charlotte Flair, Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, Mandy Rose, Dana Brooke, and Peyton Royce have made comments that they would like to face Asuka at the biggest event of the year.

WWE has not confirmed the severity of Asuka’s injury including the concussion that is being reported. They have mentioned the incident between Asuka and Baszler but haven’t followed up on how long she will be out of action. It is clear that they have hopes of her returning as soon as possible as they are teasing who may be her opponent for WrestleMania.
