Eric Bischoff will be inducted into the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame class | Wrestling News

On Thursday’s episode of WWE After The Bell, it was announced Eric Bischoff will be inducted into the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame class. He spoke with Corey Graves about a wide range of topics on this episode.

Bischoff got into the pro wrestling business by joining Verne Gagne’s AWA promotion where he worked as on-air talent. He joined WCW in 1991 where he hosted and did play-by-play for WCW’s weekly television shows.  By the mid-1990s, he pitched himself to be the executive producer of WCW and got the gig. He’s credited for bringing in Hulk Hogan to WCW and came up with the idea for Monday Nitro. This would spark the Monday Night Wars between WCW and WWE. He also created the nWO, which started out as just being Hogan, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash being in the group.

He worked behind the scenes for TNA Wrestling and most recently worked as the SmackDown Executive Director. After his latest WWE departure, he shifted his primary focus to his 83 Weeks Podcast.

Bischoff joins Molly Holly in the 2021 Class. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, April 6th and will air on Peacock in the United States and internationally on the WWE Network.
