Cody Rhodes Says Ratings War Is A Bigger Deal For WWE Than AEW

AEW’s inception came about at Double Or Nothing 2019 and since then, the company has done all it could to provide a product that true lovers of pro wrestling would enjoy. For the most part, they have succeeded, but there is still a lot of room for improvement.

After the massive success of the pay-per-view, Chris Jericho declared that the game changed after the conclusion of AEW All Out. Before that, Jericho also predicted that AEW Dynamite would end up defeating Monday Night RAW in ratings within the next 4-6 months.

Jericho’s prediction came true as AEW Dynamite defeated Monday Night RAW in the coveted 18 to 49 demographic which gave them a .53 rating. They did so again the next week as well. The ratings war between the two companies has become one of the main topics of discussion for fans and pro wrestlers alike.

While speaking to The K&C Masterpiece of 103.5 The Fan, Cody Rhodes talked about the rating war between WWE and AEW. Cody Rhodes claimed that the ratings war is a bigger deal for WWE than AEW.

“It’s a bigger deal for them. I don’t mean to sound bullish or anything like that, but if they were under the impression that they were going to win in that key demo… there are people in the industry, non-wrestlers, people who have never even stepped in the ring, who are leading [WWE] down a business path while the business isn’t there. We’re an alternative, they’re the juggernaut of this space, we’re the alternative brand.”

Jim Cornette previously stated that AEW Dynamite will defeat Monday Night RAW in ratings consistently if measures are not taken. We will have to wait and see if what Jim Cornette said comes true or not.
