Bobby Lashley hopes to be a double champion in 2021 | Wrestling News

Bobby Lashley is slated to challenge The Miz for the WWE Title on tonight’s (March 1st)  edition of Raw. This isn’t the first time that he’s challenged for the top prize in WWE, but should he beat Miz it would be the first time that he’s held the title.

Lashley had a long reign as United States Champion until last month’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event where he lost it in a triple threat match after Matt Riddle pinned John Morrision to win it. However, he could see himself going back for the title after winning the WWE Title. Thus, he would be a double champion while holding both titles at the same time.

This is something that he talked about during a recent media call.

“You know that would be beautiful. To win the WWE Championship and then go back and beat up Riddle and take the United States Championship that would be huge. I never even thought about that.

I’ve kinda put all my focus towards The Miz at the time since I had that match. Now that you say that, that might be something that we might have to sit down with The Hurt Business and decide if we want that title too. Because right now, like we’ve said many times before, we’re in for the gold, man. We’re trying to take them all.”
