AEW Dynamite Viewership Rises For St. Patrick’s Day Special, Beating WWE NXT


AEW Dynamite brought big show that they pretaped, capped off with a super-hyped unsanctioned match. WWE NXT did the best that they could with a COVID-19 outbreak. How did the viewership turn out?

Showbuzz Daily reports that AEW Dynamite brought in 768,000 viewers and WWE NXT garnered 597,000 viewers.

Last week, AEW Dynamite pulled in 743,000 viewers against NXT which drew in 691,000. That is a big drop for AEW from last week, but NXT was about the same.

The week prior saw AEW Dynamite bring in 934,000 viewers with WWE NXT earning 692,000 overnight viewers. That was AEW’s best viewership so far in 2021. Last week saw 831.000 overnight viewers for AEW Dynamite while WWE NXT garnered 734,000 overnight viewers.

The previous week saw AEW Dynamite draw 747,000 viewers with a .31 in the 18-49 demographic. WWE NXT brought in 713,000 viewers with a .16 in the 18-49 demographic.

The week prior saw both shows lose viewers, but AEW Dynamite won with 741,000 viewers with a .29 in the 18-49 demographic. WWE NXT brought in 558,000 with a .12 in the same coveted demographic.

The previous week’s AEW Dynamite brought in 844,000 overnight viewers. They were #3 in the night in cable with a .32 in the 18-49 demographic. WWE NXT brought in 610,000 viewers with a .15 in the 18-49 demographic. They ranked in at #51 in cable.
