Minnesota Vikings rookie Lewis Cine was carted off the field and taken to a London hospital after suffering a gruesome leg injury.
The NFL‘s international series kicked off its first game of the season on Sunday, but it didn’t take long for the action to come to a halt.
Minnesota Vikings rookie safety Lewis Cine was carted off the field in the second quarter after suffering a gruesome lower leg injury while covering a punt return. Cine appeared to come down awkwardly with his ankle seemingly buckling and then collapsing under the weight of his leg.
According to NFL Network’s sideline reporter Jamie Erdahl, Cine was transported to a local London hospital for further evaluation.
Unlike Amazon, which was widely criticized for its endless replays of the brain injury that Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered on Thursday Night, the NFL Network crew didn’t show many replays of the injury to Cine.
One look and it’s easy to see why.
