Aryna Sabalenka is back to No.2 in the rankings, while Australian Open runner-up Elena Rybakina has made her long awaited debut in the Top-10.

Those are the biggest changes in Monday’s post Australian Open edition of the WTA rankings, which were released on January 30, as newly crowned Grand Slam champion climbs three spots to No.2, and is currently 4395 points behind World No.1 Iga Swiatek, who commences her 44th week at the top of the rankings.

Rybakina rises 15 spots to No.10, which knocks Veronika Kudermetova out of the Top-10 to No.11.

Jessica Pegula and Caroline Garcia each drop a spot to make room for Sabalenka. Pegula moves to No.4 while Garcia drops to No.5.

OTHER NOTABLE RISERS

The second biggest move inside the top 20 belongs to Karolina Pliskova – the former World No.1 rises from 31 to 20 thanks to her quarterfinal run in Melbourne.

Victoria Azarenka rises eight spots from 24 to 16 to become the oldest player to currently rank inside the Top-20.

Jelena Ostapenko, a former World No.5, jumps five spots to No.12 thanks to her run to the quarterfinals.

There were some significant changes inside the Top-100 based on breakout performances in Melbourne.

Magda Linette, jumps 23 spots to a career-high No.22 after reaching the semifinals.

Former World No.19 Donna Vekic pops 31 spots to No.33.

17-year-old Czech Linda Fruhvirtova hits a career-high at No.51, a jump of 31 spots as a result of her round of 16 run on her Australian Open debut.

China’s Lin Zhu rises 33 spots from 87 to a career-high of 54 to become the Chinese No.3 after reaching the round of 16 in Melbourne.
