Russell Wilson trade rumors: Bears made monster offer for Seahawks QB before signing Andy Dalton

Bear down — and out.

The Bears have been hot after quarterbacks this offseason, as they were in on Carson Wentz and have reached out to both the Seahawks and Texans for Russell Wilson and Deshaun Watson, respectively.

Patrick said that he did not have names of the players offered in the deal, but that they were starting-caliber players. Patrick’s report seemingly corroborates a prior report that the price tag for Wilson started at three first-round picks.

According to Patrick, the decision ultimately falls into the hands of head coach Pete Carroll, with whom Wilson has reportedly developed a rift. Patrick said that the Seahawks considered the trade.

With Chicago coming to an agreement with quarterback Andy Dalton on Tuesday, it seems as though the Bears are moving forward with a QB room of Dalton and Nick Foles heading into 2021.
