Photos: The Upper Peninsula of Michigan, from Greywalls to Island Resort & Casino

Michigan’s Upper Peninsula offers a staggering array of terrain, and the four courses I played on a recent trip through the northern section of the state sampled four of the best: Marquette Golf Club’s Greywalls, Island Resort & Casino’s Sage Run and Sweetgrass, and Timberstone.

Greywalls ranks as No. 2 in Michigan on Golfweek’s Best Courses You Can Play list for public-access layouts as well as being No. 80 among Modern Courses in the U.S., while Timberstone is tied for No. 13 among public-access layouts and Sweetgrass is No. 15.

Enjoy the photos of each course below.
