Team leader: Florida State.
Individual leaders: T-1 Amelia Williamson, Florida State; T-1 Emilie Paltrinieri, UCLA; T-3 Beatrice Wallin, Florida State; T-3 Lauren Hartlage, Louisville.
The hook: Florida State made a statement on Monday. Call it a Florida State-ment. After the first round the Seminoles were the lone team under par in Louisville, led by junior Amelia Williamson who sits T-1 on the individual leaderboard at 4 under with UCLA sophomore Emilie Paltrinieri.
If the cut was today: 1 Florida State, T-2 Michigan State, T-2 UCLA, 4 Louisville, 5 South Carolina, 6 Auburn.
What to watch for tomorrow: The current teams inside the top six are what you’d expect, with a few favorites on the outside looking in. No. 15 Texas is just one shot outside of qualification, with Arkansas two back at T-8. Both teams fancy themselves national title contenders, and they’ll need strong bounce-back rounds on Tuesday.
The @Seminoles first day on the University of Louisville Golf Course is complete. With 12 teams still on the course, #FSU is on top of the @NCAAGolf_ team leaderboard and led by junior @AmeliaWgolf who is in a tie for first place in the individual standings. pic.twitter.com/nHDNnbb5AQ
