Watch: Joan Jordan makes hilarious last-ditch effort to try and stop Messi – Planet Football

Sevilla midfielder Joan Jordan turned to desperate measures in his bid to stop Lionel Messi from scoring for Barcelona

During his incredible career, Messi has been renowned for his incredible dribbling ability, and he is near impossible to defend against when running at pace.

“Barca has, without any doubt, the best player in history: Leo Messi,” Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui said ahead of their game against the Blaugrana.

The Argentina international maintained his brilliant form against Lopetegui’s side, registering a goal and an assist at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

During the closing stages of the game, Jordan failed to stop Messi legally and then tried to drag the forward down to the floor out of desperation.

Messi still managed to breeze right past the midfielder, who was later booked for his challenge.
