There is a ‘very real feeling’ among Liverpool chiefs that Mohamed Salah is exploring his options ahead of a move away from Anfield, a report claims.
The Egyptian winger has a strong claim to be Jurgen Klopp‘s best signing at Liverpool since his 2017 arrival.
Since joining from Roma, the 28-year-old has scored 118 goals and assisted 45 others in 189 games. This term, meanwhile, he has netted 24 times and maintained his form amid a slump across the board at the club.
However, Salah hinted at an exit in December by outlining his affection for Barcelona and Real Madrid. In another interview, he insisted that he wants to stay at Anfield as long as he can.
According to Eurosport, though, there is a strong indication that the winger is ‘considering a change’.
Following the references to the Spanish giants, the source adds that both clubs have made a note of his thinking.
Furthermore, discussions are already reportedly taking place in the background at ways out of Liverpool.
There is no suggestion that Salah will force his way out of Klopp’s team, but is keen to seek a new challenge if the opportunity arises.
Beneath the surface, there is supposedly a ‘desire’ from the player to become the greatest African star of all time.
Salah has gone a long way to catapulting his status on the continent with his rise since joining Liverpool.
However, there is a feeling that a move to La Liga is the only step which could take him further. Salah has won the Premier League, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup at Liverpool.

The question came amid the prospect of Liverpool missing out on the top four this season and not winning the Champions League.
However, pressed on Salah’s future in particular, Klopp insisted that he has no fears about the loyalty of his key players..
