Liverpool star’s ‘huge discontent’ with Klopp revealed as sensational transfer is ‘seriously considered’

Liverpool star Mo Salah is ‘no longer happy’ with Jurgen Klopp and it is being reported that Spanish giants Real Madrid are looking to ‘take advantage’.

When Salah does leave Liverpool, it is pretty likely that he will go down in history as one of their best players of all time.

The Egypt international had an unsuccessful spell at Chelsea earlier in his career but he returned to the Premier League with a point to prove when he joined Liverpool in 2017 from Roma.

A fee of around £43m was paid to Roma to sign Salah. A few eyebrows were raised when this deal was announced, but he has established himself as one of the best attackers in the world during his time at Liverpool.

The 30-year-old has scored 173 goals in 283 appearances for the English outfit. He has helped them win the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

His future was in doubt towards the end of last season as Salah’s contract was due to expire in 2023. He opted to commit his future to Liverpool though as his new deal is up in 2025.

Salah has not been as impactful this season as he has only managed to score seven goals in 19 appearances. His poor form has damaged Liverpool are they currently find themselves down in ninth in the Premier League.

Earlier this week, it was claimed that Liverpool are preparing to sell Salah to PSG to fund a move for Juventus star Federico Chiesa.

Now Spanish outlet Nacional are reporting that Real Madrid ‘want to sign’ Salah.

It is noted that Real Madrid were keen on him in the past, but they are now looking to ‘take advantage’ of his current ‘huge discontent’. It is reported that he would ‘seriously consider a change of scenery’.

Salah is ‘no longer happy’ with Klopp and it is suggested that an exit will be even more likely if Liverpool fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Real Madrid are ‘very much waiting’ for news on Salah, who is said to feel that his time at Liverpool is ‘close’ to concluding.

The report adds: ‘Taking advantage of the clash between Madrid and Liverpool in the Round of 16 of the European Cup, Florentino Pérez hopes to be able to meet and speak personally with Salah , who he hopes will be able to convince him to start an adventure for La Liga Santander.

‘And, of course, they would also have to reach an agreement with Klopp to allow the departure of one of his key pieces.’

Nacional are known for outlandish reports and you have to feel that they are going a tad early with their suggestions that Salah could leave as early as the summer.

Liverpool are expected to invest heavily in the summer, with Jude Bellingham and Matheus Nunes among their targets. Klopp would likely be desperate to retain Salah so he is part of this rebuild.
