ALABA ANNOUNCEMENT DUE LATER
Bayern Munich are a hot topic among the morning whispers…
One player leaving the champions of, well, everything is David Alaba. For months it has been clear that the Austria defender will walk away from Bayern at the end of his contract in the summer and it seems the race for his signature is almost run.
According to Bild, Alaba will announce his next club later today.
The report suggests that Real Madrid are front runners for the 28-year-old though his salary demands would be more easily met in the Premier League. Alaba is said to have received offers from Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City.
MAN UTD, LIVERPOOL TARGET STAYS WITH BAYERN
Another player staying at Bayern is Jamal Musiala.
Liverpool and Manchester United have been monitoring the 17-year-old who is currently being fought over by the Germany and England national teams, despite having featured for England Under-21s.
But The Guardian reports that Musiala will sign an incentivised five-year contract with Bayern later this month, after his 18th birthday, which could net the former Chelsea academy graduate around £100,000 a week.
NORWICH SET AARONS PRICE
Musiala could be joined in Bavaria by Max Aarons.
The Norwich defender has been chased by the Premier League’s biggest hitters, as well as Barcelona, in recent months.
But Sky Sports says Bayern have begun preliminary negotiations with Norwich over a possible deal for the right-back. The Canaries have told Bayern to cough up between £30million and £35million if they want the 21-year-old in the summer.
BAYERN TO SIGN READING DEFENDER
Omar Richards looks set to be Bayern-bound too.
The Reading left-back is out of contract at the end of the season and Kicker claims Bayern have agreed a four-year contract with the 23-year-old.
Reading, presumably, will be due compensation since Richards is under 24 but it won’t come close to the £15million they might have earned had the Royals not allowed his contract to expire.
MBAPPE TO SEE OUT PSG CONTRACT
Away from Bayern Munich, to PSG…
The Ligue 1 champions have contract concerns of their own, the biggest being Kylian Mbappe’s expiring terms.
The France superstar has only another year remaining on his current deal, which has certainly caught Liverpool and Real Madrid’s attention.
It was assumed that PSG would cash in on Mbappe this summer if they could not convince the forward to recommit to the club. But, according to Sport, Mbappe has told PSG that he won’t leave this year and he intends to see out the remainder of his current deal.
Mbappe has also assured the club’s owners that he has made no decisions on his future and no decision will be forthcoming until midway through next season.
