England international rules out future Chelsea transfer over ‘erratic’ transfer policy

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham will not move to Chelsea in the future after taking note of their transfer dealings, according to reports.

The Blues spent over £300m in the January transfer window with the signings of Enzo Fernandez, Mykhaylo Mudryk, Benoît Badiashile, Malo Gusto, Noni Madueke, Andrey Santos, David Datro Fofana and Joao Felix.

Some very envious eyes have been cast towards Chelsea, who have spent more money over the last couple of windows than every other side in world football with barely any money recouped in sales.

Timo Werner, Emerson Palmieri and Jorginho have been the biggest sales but they have had other major losses in that time with Antonio Rudiger, Marcos Alonso and Andreas Christensen leaving on free transfers and Romelu Lukaku joining Inter Milan on loan.

But their spending, which has been questioned by some pundits and supporters, could now have an impact on future transfers with German publication Sport BILD (via Sport Witness) claiming that in-demand Bellingham has been put off by their transfer business.

Bellingham and his representatives have now ruled out a move to Chelsea after becoming concerned by their ‘seemingly erratic purchasing policy’.

Staying at Dortmund is ‘no longer an option’ for the England international with Real Madrid and Liverpool reportedly the two frontrunners for his signature.

Former Crystal Palace chairman thinks Liverpool “have a uniqueness about them” that will appeal to Bellingham despite the possibility that they won’t be playing in the Champions League next season.

Jordan told talkSPORT: “If we’re led to believe what we’re led to believe, all their energy and economic resources are going to be deployed into buying Jude Bellingham in the summer. Some would argue they need a lot more than that but he’s a massive part of the regeneration that Liverpool clearly need.

“Liverpool have a uniqueness about them, so does Klopp. What they’ve achieved in recent years and the way they’ve played, and people won’t like this – certainly Man City fans won’t like this – the team that I’ve always wanted to watch is Liverpool.

“Because they’re so feral, so dynamic, so explosive. I understand that Man City are a beautiful work of art and watching football played by Man City is a pleasure, but there’s something more dynamic about Liverpool.

“So, I’ve enjoyed watching them more than Man City. That will also reverberate with certain players I think if Klopp clicks into gear and if the board click into gear around Bellingham and others then Liverpool will be back in good nick.

“I know your point that if Liverpool don’t get top four how do they get Bellingham, but I think Liverpool Football Club sells itself.”
