19 things we loved this weekend: Antony, Weghorst, Keane & more
The FA Cup Third Round dominated this footballing weekend and the oldest competition of them all didn’t disappoint.
Both Aston Villa and Newcastle United lost to lower league opposition while Manchester United swept past Everton to continue their impressive run under Erik ten Hag.
Liverpool were held by Wolves at Anfield – and had VAR to thank for keeping them in the competition – while Manchester City beat Chelsea with embarrassing ease.
Meanwhile, leagues across Europe are emerging from their World Cup hibernation and contributed some laugh out loud moments that kept us warm during another dark and cold winter weekend.
And the antics of former Premier League striker in Australia didn’t escape our attention either.
But Roy Keane, not for the first time, may have stolen the show. Here’s 19 moments we loved from the past couple of days…
Antony
Typically cheeky from Antony.

Pep Guardiola
Stunning knitwear from the Manchester City boss.

Heroically bad.

Alexis Sanchez
Glorious.
Just come across this photo of Alexis Sanchez scoring a Panenka for Marseille yesterday and this might be the best Panenka face I’ve ever seen. The concentration, the moustache, the faint air of disdain. Looks like he’s playing quoits in an English country garden c. 1921 pic.twitter.com/j6cxpAQkqF

Josh Windass
Sheffield Wednesday’s match-winner couldn’t hear anything above the Hillsborough din.
