Conor McGregor allegedly attacked, broke nose of Italian DJ

UFC star Conor McGregor allegedly assaulted and broken the nose of Italian DJ Francesco Facchinetti while on vacation in Rome.

Conor McGregor’s latest run-in with the law took place overseas early Sunday morning after he allegedly assaulted famous Italian DJ, Francesco Fachinetti, while out partying in Rome.

TMZ was among the first outlets to report the incident. According to witnesses, McGregor and his fiancee were on a double date with Facchinetti and his wife when McGregor snapped and threw a punch at Facchinetti. The punch broke Facchinetti’s nose before nearby security personnel intervened.

Facchinetti claims that McGregor was unprovoked leading up to the alleged assault.

“I took a punch for nothing,” Facchinetti said in a post on his Instagram story. “That punch could go to anyone. My friends, my wife, or other friends. I decided to sue Conor McGregor because he is a violent and dangerous person.”

Just weeks ago, McGregor and American rapper Machine Gun Kelly nearly brawled on the red carpet of the 2021 MTV VMAs. The two were quickly separated after drinks were thrown and McGregor nearly landed a punch on Kelly.

This latest incident comes just weeks after Conor McGregor got into it with Machine Gun Kelly at the VMAs

McGregor has remained in the spotlight for, at times, the wrong reasons since suffering a devastating leg injury at UFC 264. He is still targeting a return to the Octagon for 2022.

In addition to the latest public incidents, McGregor has been in hot water over a series of offensive tweets he’s directed towards the likes of Khabib Nurmagomedov and MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz.

McGregor and his team haven’t commented publicly on the incident as the investigation continues. By the sounds of it, Facchinetti is intent on bringing charges against McGregor for the alleged assault.
