College football media reacts to Alabama-Mississippi State

The Alabama Crimson Tide ran through the Mississippi State Bulldogs like a tin horn.

A week after getting embarrassed on a national stage by the Texas A&M Aggies, the Alabama Crimson Tide were the ones doing the embarrassing of the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Alabama may have dropped from the top spot in the latest AP Top 25 poll, but Nick Saban had his team more than ready to play. The Crimson Tide offense thoroughly shellacked the Mississippi State defense. While the Air Raid typically carves up the opposition, this was one of those games where the Mike Leach offense resembled the air coming out of a balloon. It was a rough game.

Before getting a breather to end the game, Alabama quarterback Bryce Young bounced back in a huge way after the loss to A&M with a four-touchdown performance that surely increases his stock moving forward for the rest of the season. Meanwhile, John Metchie and Jameson Williams appeared motivated by the talk about the Crimson Tide’s lack of a WR1 with strong performances from each receiver.

Here is how the college football media reacted to Alabama blowing out Mississippi State, 49-9.

There was nothing positive to say about this game from a Mississippi State perspective other than it is over.

As for Alabama, the Crimson Tide made the Bulldogs their whipping boy all evening long. It was the perfect get-right game for a team that has to win out if it wants to make the College Football Playoff.

Saturday was the epitome of what happens when the Crimson Tide plays a football game angrily.
