Chiefs don’t have enough fireworks to celebrate the Steelers beatdown

It was a slow start for the Kansas City Chiefs but they were unstoppable once they got rolling — so much so that they had to stop celebrating in Arrowhead.

Early on, it was understandable that Kansas City Chiefs fans were a bit worried about what their team was showing against the Steelers in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs at Arrowhead Stadium.

Luckily, Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the high-powered offense found the switch, flipped it, and then didn’t stop. They kept scoring, and scoring, and scoring. Their lead was all but insurmountable for Pittsburgh — but apparently, the number of times they were finding the end zone was also too much for the Arrowhead fireworks crew to handle.

In the fourth quarter, a message flashed on the video board at the stadium that the crew had run out of fireworks that they set off after the Chiefs score a touchdown.

This, of course, isn’t the first time that this has happened with Kansas City at Arrowhead. And that doesn’t surprise anyone who’s watched this team since Mahomes took over at quarterback.

At the same time, you’d think the stadium would be a bit more prepared for that. Sure, 42 points and six touchdowns is quite a few, but it’s not like we didn’t know that the Chiefs were capable of putting that type of number on the scoreboard.

Maybe what we’re talking about here is that Arrowhead Stadium just needs to up the fireworks budget moving forward.
