Braves waste no time covering up All-Star Game patch on jerseys

The Atlanta Braves are no longer rocking 2021 MLB All-Star Game patches on their jerseys.

With the 2021 MLB All-Star Game no longer being played at Truist Park, the Atlanta Braves wasted no time by covering up the commemorative patches on their jersey sleeves.

Removing the All-Star Game from Atlanta was a highly controversial move due to the State of Georgia passing new legislation making it more difficult to vote. MLB commissioner Rob Manfred removed the game from Atlanta on Friday. The Braves were able to wear those commemorative patches for a grand total of one game. We have no idea where the exhibition will be played now.

This has been a very rough weekend for the Atlanta Braves so far

After losing in extra innings to the division rival Philadelphia Phillies on Opening Day, the Braves struggled mightily offensively with Zack Wheeler on the mound. The only player on the Braves roster through two games to have any runs batted was Pablo Sandoval on a two-run, pinch-hit homer on Thursday. Atlanta is on the precipice of getting swept on the road by the Phillies now.

The Braves have won the NL East each of the last three seasons. While the Braves have every right to have serious World Series aspirations, there are no bad teams in the division this year. The Phillies and the Washington Nationals should be much improved. No team improved more this offseason than the New York Mets. And the Miami Marlins were a postseason team a season ago.

So long, 2021 MLB All-Star Game patches in Braves Country! It was nice knowing you.
