High-flying Bradford will be looking to maintain their winning streak when they welcome a struggling Wimbledon to Valley Parade for their League Two Matchday 11 tie on Saturday evening.
Bradford have made an impressive start to their League Two campaign this season, as they have won five of their nine fixtures so far while drawing two and losing two in the process. As result, Leslie Hughes’ side currently sits fifth in the league standings on 17 points, five points outside the automatic promotion places and one point above seven-placed Mansfield Town.
They are currently in a brilliant form as they have gone unbeaten in their last five league matches, claiming four wins and in draw in the run. They claimed a 3-0 win home win over Stevenage last time out, extending their winning streak to three matches in League two and they will keen to maintain that run on Saturday.
They should feel confident of keeping their playoff spot as they are unbeaten in their five home matches so far this season, and have won three of their last five matches against Wimbledon at Valley Parade.
Wimbledon have been struggling in League Two this season, as they have so far suffered five defeats in their nine games, while winning just two and drawing two in the process. As result Johnnie Jackson’s side sit 17th on eight points in the standings, only two points above the relegation zone.
They suffered a 2-1 away defeat to Carlisle in League Two last time out, which extended their losing streak to four games in the league. They, however, managed to bounce back in the EFL Trophy last Tuesday as they claimed a 3-2 home win over Crawley.
They will therefore be hoping to build on that hard-fought win as they return to league action this Saturday. They will want to avoid dropping down into the relegation zone this early, but they will need to bring their top performance to Valley Parade.
